Senior Software Engineer - Tooling, IntegratiONS & AutomATION
Hosted Power is looking for an experienced, hands-on software engineer to help build the internal tools, integrations, and automation of our platform and make our teams leaner, faster and more scalable.
THE ROLE
This is not a classic role for someone who is simply taken within a single stack of clearly defined development. We are looking for someone who truly solves technical problems: someone who builds tools, connects APIs, automates processes, pragmatically deploys AI where it adds value, and simultaneously contributes ideas regarding architecture, technical choices, and the future direction of the product and internal tooling.
You work at the intersection of software, platform, and operations. Sometimes you build an internal tool that eliminates repetitive work. Sometimes you develop an integration with an external system. Sometimes you automate a process that currently still requires too much manual work. Sometimes you dive deep into a complex problem and translate it into a structural, maintainable solution.
We are not looking for a specialist in one specific language. We are looking for a senior developer with at least 10 years of experience who can work independently, takes ownership, quickly gets to the core of the matter, and gets things built effectively. Someone who can help determine the course, but also remains hands-on and actively participates in the implementation.
What you'll do
- You will build internal tools and services that our teams manipulate.
- You will design and implement integrations with external APIs and platforms.
- You will automate operational and potential workflows where software offers real added value.
- You will investigate how AI can be practically deployed in tooling, processes, and internal products.
- You will contribute ideas regarding architecture, technical standards, and sustainable solutions.
- You will help analyze complex problems and translate ad-hoc work into reusable software.
- Your incredible technical insight combined with pragmatic execution: you think proactively, but also build things yourself.
- You work independently and coordinate smoothly with colleagues from operations, platform, and development.
what we're looking for
- At least 10 years of experience as a software engineer or developer. You are strong in analyzing, designing, implementing and debugging.
- You enjoy building solutions that are actually used, not just prototypes.
- You have experience with API integrations, automation, and backend-driven tooling.
- You contribute architecturally but remain consciously hands-on.
- You take responsibility, can work independently, and clearly substantiate technical choices.
- You are a strong problem solver, both in thinking and in execution.
- You feel comfortable in a smaller, dynamic, and functional organization with a lot of autonomy and short lines of communication.
Plus points
- Affinity with hosting, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Interest in open source software and developer tooling.
- Experience with AI workflows and LLM integrations of smart automation.
- Experience in e-commerce in performance-sensitive environments.
