Run Odoo on docker or nativily?
You can pick the solution that matches your current environment. You can run Odoo natively on Python 2.7 up to the latest Python 3.10 or newer versions.
On the other hand, if you like to run Odoo in a container, this is perfectly supported. Because of performance reasons, we do recommend to put only Odoo in the container and make use of our nativily supported managed PostgreSQL database.
We will also offer recommendations regarding the worker settings and some other odoo.conf settings. You can choose to run the container in docker or even take advantage of our Kubernetes experience.
